Monterey Bay was flat calm and we were able to get in a nice dive at Mile Buoy reef. Visibility was excellent down to about 90ft with thousands of sea nettles (ouch). It got a little silty down near the reef but not too bad. We saw a basket star on a gorgonian, some nice large ling cod, and a good variety of rock fish. Dead mola molas littered the reef; they picked a bad spot to prey on jellyfish with so many sea lions around. The deco turned out to be the best part of the dive as we got to hang out in the clear water watching the sea nettles and sea lions. Dionna and I had a little confusion on the ascent since my depth gauge consistently read about 4ft deeper than hers.
