|Susan and I went out for swimming dive at Lobos. We visited Beto's reef were we found a lot of lingcods as several Molas. There was a large school of squids swimming in the Lone Metridium area. |
The squids were trying the deposit their eggs on the sand, while been chased by harbors seals and sea lions, while several molas were hovering in the middle of all this while been cleaned by perches. What a great place to hang.
One mola was swimming in circle around us, and at some point it was so close that we tried to clean it a bit. However, it looks like our manners are not the best, as the fish immediately took of.
Susan found a guitar fish on the swim back, and we saw a huge lingcod resting near Hole on the Wall. It was dark brown and its head was very large.
It was a magnificent dive!
